What to Know About Children's Restrictions
Are there any restrictions for Children?
At Mt. Baldy, we want to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone, including our young guests. Here's what you need to know about children's restrictions:
1. Age and Chairlifts: For chairlifts at Mt. Baldy, any child under the age of 14 must ride with someone who is 14 years or older. It's all about ensuring safety and supervision during the ride.
2. Chair Width: Children riding chairs at Mt. Baldy Ski Lifts must be able to fit comfortably in the chair, which measures 22 inches wide. The on-duty lift operator will make the final decision on actual loading and unloading.
3. Sugarpine Chairlift: To access most activities, including the Top of the Notch Restaurant, children must take the Sugarpine Chairlift. Here are the specific requirements for this chairlift:
- Children must be at least 40 inches tall.
- They should be capable of understanding specific loading and unloading instructions.
- Children must be able to get on and off the lift under their own power. Riding on a parent's lap is not permitted on the Sugarpine Chairlift.
4. Learning Center/Lessons: Children must be accompanied by a parent when at the Learning Center or taking lessons. If the parent is not participating in winter activities, they will need to purchase a Scenic Chairlift ticket to accompany their child on the mountain.
5. Tubing: For tubing activities, if the parent is not tubing, they must purchase a Scenic Chairlift ticket to go up the mountain and accompany their child.
We strive to provide a safe and enjoyable experience for all visitors, and these guidelines help us achieve that. If you have any questions or need further information, please don't hesitate to reach out. Your child's safety and enjoyment are our top priorities!
