What’s the Weather Like?
The weather can change quickly on the mountain so we always recommend checking the conditions before your visit. A great resource for current weather conditions is the National Weather Service website.
Who Can Ride the Lift?
- All lift riders must be at least 40" tall.
- Children under 12 years old should ride with an adult.
- Animals are not permitted on the chair lift.
To ensure the safety of everyone, all Lift Rules and guidelines must be followed.
Mountain Report
You can find all of the latest info on lift status, terrain conditions, runs available, and more on our Mountain Report page. It’s always a good idea to check here before planning your next snow day.
What About Parking?
All guests need to park in the lot at the base of Chairlift #1. This is the gateway to everything Mt Baldy Resort has to offer. You can purchase your 1 Day Parking Pass at the ticket office or prepaid online.
Season Pass Holders can add on an Annual Parking Pass.
Wheel Chair Accessible?
Our facilities are located at the top of the Sugar Pine Chair Lift, a fix grip double lift.
Access to the loading and unloading area is wheelchair accessible. Since typical loading and unloading of the lift requires riders to load without the lift stopping, special arrangements to stop the lift need to be made and load a wheelchair.
All passengers must be able to sit in the carrier and stay in their seat on their own and be able to assist reasonably with the loading & unloading process and transfer to their wheelchair.
Are Dogs Allowed?
Dogs are allowed at Mt Baldy.
However, they're not allowed on the Lift.
Dog owners must walk up the 4-mile trail to the Top of the Notch, and dogs must be on a leash at all times.
Do I Need Chains?
We always recommend being prepared with chains for your vehicle when heading up to the mountains. You can find the most up-to-date information on road conditions by checking the Cal Trans website.
Can I Rent My Gear When I Get There?
Our rental department is typically sold out due to our small rental inventory. The only way to secure a rental for the day is to purchase your Lift Ticket and rental ahead of time.
How Should I Dress?
The Chair Lift transports you into alpine conditions where extreme cold can be dangerous, especially for young and elderly guests. Warm multi-layered, winter clothing, hats, and boots are essential to the safety of everyone riding the lift and participating in activities in an alpine environment.
